It’s the holidays and I, like most of you, am on vacation and I won’t be putting out new blog posts until the first week of January, but what kind of friend would I be if I left you alone, with nothing to read, for the next 10 days? A bad friend, that’s right. With that in mind, I figured I’d help hold you over with a look back at some of the best posts we put out over the last 12 months.
(Editor’s note: The judgement of “best” is totally subjective. For the purposes of this post I was the judge, jury, and executioner.)
Ready? Let’s go!
This one got the most traction and seemed to bring a tear to the eyes of the moms out there. Considering were about as far away from Mother’s Day as possible, I figured it couldn’t hurt if we had people revisit this post and reignite the warm and fuzzies for mom.
You love music. I love music. Everyone loves music. Take a peek in here and see what you can do to take that love affair to the next level while never having to leave its side.
There is no shortage of people on this planet. They are literally everywhere. Get out there and meet some of them. Make connections, make some jokes, and maybe even make some new friends. It’ll warm up even the coldest of Winter nights. (Note: this can be applied to any time of year.)
Traveling is a giant pain in the tush and we all know it. Especially this time of year when everyone and their mother are traveling home to visit their…well, mother (you get the point). If you find yourself traveling this holiday season, you may want to take a look at how to make traveling suck a little bit less.
Look! Another post about music (I told you everyone loved it). You know what’s crazy about music? Not only is it amazing, but it’s proven to improve your performances. That includes your performance in the gym, at work, doing the dishes, maybe even the bedr…well, you get the picture. Read up and listen your way to productivity.
In the same vein as the Mother’s Day post, we often take those closest to us for granted. Don’t do this. Let your friends know how much they mean to you. Will they barb you a little for being sentimental? Probably, but that just means they like you, too? Remember when you were on the playground and you kicked dust at the girl you had a crush on? Their reaction will be a lot like that.
We always talk about wanting to unplug and to be less of a slave to our devices. Well, here is your primer to get that done. It’s amazing the things you can see when you’re not glued to your devices: the sky, grass, other people, the “don’t walk” sign. All very important, potentially life-saving things.
I don’t want to say that this post will save your life, but it won’t not save your life.
Until next time – Happy Holidays and I’ll see you soon.
